The HOP Pickleball Leagues are designed to have single players, partners and teams test their abilities out against similarly skilled players while playing games in a traditional doubles format. For individual leagues, results will be tracked by individual player, while for partner and team leagues, results will be tracked by partnership or team.
The HOP Pickleball Leagues are designed so that league members can play their matches on the day, at the time and in the location decided on by all participants in the playing group. The “Open Play” indicates that league members, if playing at a public court, can simply play their match games while participating in the open play atmosphere provided by public courts.
Each league will consist of skill levels, with no more than 16 individuals, 8 partnerships or 8 teams playing within a level (at the commissioner’s discretion, any level can be expanded or reduced in the best interest of the league). The number of levels in the league will be directly dependent on the number of participants, partnerships or teams.
